If I think about my favorite place to do any photo shoot, it’s always somewhere very natural, sunny and just simply beautiful. These bridals are all of those things! I’m a simple girl. I like simple. I think that’s where beauty lies. In the everyday, natural moments, the wide open field untouched by a lawn mower or pruning, just allowed to BE. As I read this (checking for spelling/grammar errors) I’m thinking about how my couples are, just like these words I just typed. They are natural, they allow each other to just BE and love who the other is when they are just being them. That’s what makes me so lucky. Taking beautiful photos is invigorating and I LOVE that, but what makes it so rich for me is working with people who GET what’s really important. Ahhhhh,:)

Shea’s bridals embody all of that, shot at Cedar Hill State Park on a beautiful day with all that simple beauty and rustic feeling. She was so awesome. Laid back, up for anything, even standing in the middle of wild flowers in her dress:)I could not ask for a more awesome girl to work with:)

LuAnne and Roger’s wedding was so beautiful and it was such an honor to be part of this wedding. They got married in her parents back yard, which is just gorgeous! All of their fall decorations were perfect and LuAnne was such a stunning bride. They had a small, intimate ceremony and the personal touch of it being at her parent’s home was perfect. LuAnne and Roger were so obviously in love and all of their sweet glances and each other made the day even more beautiful.

Their family was so welcoming and friendly. Her parents even gave up their seat at dinner for me and my assistant!! I was so touched by their sweet gesture! These are just true Southern, warm people who would genuinely go out of their way to make someone else comfortable. What a wonderful family and I am so so glad I had the chance to work with them!

  • Olivia - You have talent! I would most definitely recommend you! 😉ReplyCancel

  • Taylor Catalano - If I’d have gotten married in a church rather the beach, that’s the dress I would’ve gotten! It was so beautiful.. and you make it look even better in these photos! Kind of cool to see what might have been :)ReplyCancel

  • Chelsea McGowan - A few things:
    1) Your details are killer here. KILL.ER. Seriously stunning.
    2) I’ve shot that gown four times now, and I never get tired of it. So beautiful.
    3) The in-between moments in this post are my favorites. The little breaths. You captured the truth of their wedding day splendidly.
Well done Teresa, and congrats to the happy couple!ReplyCancel

  • nikki - SO gorgeous! I love all their details… What a gorgeous backdrop for a lovely wedding!ReplyCancel

I never get tired of working with awesome people. It’s what I like most about my business. I’ve been very blessed that every couple I work with has been ideal for me. Everyone is not as lucky as me.  Being able to do what I love AND do it for amazingly wonderful people is a true blessing.

Melanie and Justin came to me from Justin’s brother and wife, whose wedding I photographed last year. They were such a wonderful couple to work with and such a fun, easy going and welcoming family that when I heard from Melanie, I was beyond giddy to work with all of them again! It doesn’t hurt one little bit either that Melanie and Justin are absolutely stunning!! Melanie, like most of my brides, is very laid back and has an easy, effortless style. She’s not fussy over little things like hair, make-up and clothes, she keeps it simple, she’s a natural beauty. So, I knew something very natural and beautiful would be perfect as a setting for their engagement photos. We started the shoot in Downtown Grapevine and moved over to Rockledge Park at Grapevine Lake. The rock cliffs and shoreline were the perfect backdrop for this naturally gorgeous couple.

I couldn’t be more happy with how everything turned out and I can’t wait for this wedding!!!

When I got Kim’s email, I literally squealed. I told everyone about it. I had an inquiry for an ELOPEMENT!!!! Ladies and Gentlemen, this is every photographer’s (well all the one’s I know, at least) DREAM!! A sweet, intimate wedding, all about love and just getting married! Now, don’t get me wrong, I love all weddings, but something about the simplicity of an elopement just tugs at my heart:)

I started the day with Kim at The Omni Hotel with her mom and soon to be mother-in-law, then we headed to White Rock Lake to meet Nick at a pier that we were hoping and crossing our fingers was open. It was! The ceremony was beautiful, everything was perfect. These guys were amazing and funny and laughed the whole time!

Steve and Nicole have been such a sweet and lovely couple to work with. So calm and sweet in every step of the process. I came to really admire their relationship through the course of working with them. Steve has this protective way with Nicole, but in a very subtle way, like he’s always making sure she’s comfortable. On their wedding day, I saw Steve come into the church, greeted him and told him that Nicole looked beautiful and that I was about to go photograph her. He said, “Tell her I love her.” It was so simple, but so sweet:)When I told Nicole, she said, “Tell him I love him too!” Then, the best part of this whole thing, when I told Steve, he said, “Then I guess that means we’re still on!” Haha!

This sweetness between the two of them was there when we met for their engagement session and it turned out to be such a romantic session full of little stolen moments between the two of them. Such a wonderful couple to work with! Please show them some love in the comment section, because these guys are just awesome:)
