Baby Photography is something that just makes my heart smile! Working with precious, sweet little ones is always such a joy and just relaxes my soul. It’s always a big bonus when their parents are as sweet as the baby. When I met Miss Lilly and her mommy along with her wonderful, kind nanny, I felt so welcomed and comfortable in their home. It’s such an incredible honor to be inviting into people’s homes to do what I love and capture their families being themselves. It also helps that they let me move all of their furniture around…hehehe!

Little Miss Lilly was picture perfect for her photo session and was honestly one the happiest, most pleasant babies I’ve ever seen (and yes, I am comparing her to my own baby too). I leaned that she is pretty much good to go as long as she’s not put on her tummy! I don’t blame you darlin, I’d be upset too if someone made me lay on my tummy and hold myself up just to get a picture of me.

This lovely couple is such a pleasure to work with and the love they have for each other just fills the air around them. It’s beautiful and I am honored to have captured it for them. The wedding is in December so the bride and groom wanted some of their engagement session to have a Christmas theme. So we found some evergreens and the couple brought beautiful handmade ornaments. This was so much fun! I also owe a special thank you to Candace at Each and Every Detail, who is planning the wedding and was such a huge help!! She also happens to be the bride’s sister. Two sisters came along and this family was just so much fun! Also, a big thank you to Melinda at Borrowed Vintage Furniture for the gorgeous couch that we used for this session!

After we were all done with the sunny field, we headed over to The Harbor in Rockwall for a few night shots. This is where the couple was engaged:)

This is by far one of my favorite engagement sessions I’ve ever done. Not just because the light was perfect and the photos gorgeous, but because of this couple. Latesha and Smart were so much fun to work with and I could tell that they were having a good time, but the love and adoration between them was palpable. While editing this session, I kept thinking of the song by Corrine Bailey Rae, Like a Star, and the lyrics kept playing in my head. “Just like a star crossed my sky, just like and angel off the page, you have appeared to my life, feel like I’ll never me the same, just like a song in my heart…”

Beautiful couple, beautiful song and they just go together. I feel inspired.

Congratulations to Brittany and Steven!! I was so honored to have worked with you on your engagement photos, bridal session, and your wonderful wedding! The journey was amazing and I could not ask for better clients. Brittany and Steven are a true story of lasting love and it was so sweet to watch them get married and be a part of the special moments of that day.

The ceremony was held at the beautiful St. Jude Catholic Church and was just breathtaking. The reception followed at The McKinney Cotton Mill, which is hands down one of my favorite places to photograph and I always try to talk clients into holding sessions there! It is amazing, with lots of color texture and so much light! A photographer’s dream. And finally, a very big THANK YOU to Catie Ronquillo for coming out and helping me capture this beautiful day! I could not have done it without you!

Enjoy this sneak peek and congratulations to the beautiful couple!

I had the honor of being the wedding photographer for my sister-in-law last weekend  at The Blue Rose in Pass Christian, MS. Not only was I the photographer, but also a bride’s maid. I am so happy that she feels that close to me to have me be such a special part of her wedding day. I love you, Jamie!
