Working with Jen was such a wonderful experience for me. I strive to make sure that my clients get a top quality experience, but this girl is so so wonderful and I felt so honored to spend time with her and get to know her and I felt like I got an experience here! Jen is one of those people who doesn’t even have to say anything to be able to see that she just has a sweetness and kindness about her that make you want to be with her all the time! She and Taylor are such a lovely couple and I am so happy to have been a part of their wedding.

Jen’s bridal session ended up being on a rainy, cold day and we made it work! We did these at Taylor’s Mom’s home, which is just lovely. I was a little bummed that we couldn’t use her sprawling yard with gorgeous oak trees, but her home is beautiful and it worked so well for this. Just love.:)And Jen and Taylor’s sweet pup, Piper made an appearance at the end. Even her dog is awesome!:)

I am a very nostalgic person. I love anything that makes me feel like I’m sitting at my grandma’s table eating fresh veggies from her garden and drinking My mostly milk and a dash of coffee at the age of 7 at her country table. That’s the same feeling I get with this wedding. Everything felt just like home. Sweet and warm and welcoming. I posted the first snippet of Angie and Shawn’s wedding last week. There were so many sweet and emotional moments this day. I’ve teared up several times reliving the day as I’ve gone through these photos. When everything is done and it’s time to get married, it really should just be about the joy of the day. And these two had so much joy over the experience of marrying each other. I feel so blessed to have been able to capture it for them.:)

Angie and Shawn were married this past Saturday at Dallas Heritage Village and everything was so perfect! Angie worked so hard designing and making all of the décor herself, even the floral arrangements! It was gorgeous outside and the day could not have been better! There was so much emotion during this wedding day. So many tears of joy, so much laughter and love, it was just bursting at the seams with happiness. In fact there were so many touching moments, that I have to break this post up, just cannot fit it all in one:)So stay tuned for the second installment next week!

Special thank you to Katherine, my assistant for the day, who worked so hard for this couple and for me. I could not have done this without her! And to Jen Rios Design who came out and set up all of the décor for the bride and gave it her styling touch.

Look out for the Ceremony next week!! So sweet!!!

I don’t meet very many Teresa’s, especially ones who spell their name the right way. So when Teresa emailed me, I knew right away we were just meant to be! It was a lot of fun saying my own name throughout their session too.:)Teresa and Mike are just SOOOO cute together! They giggled and were even somewhat gentle during their Holi Paint Powder fight:)That was a LOT of fun! All of the color was amazing! I’m totally going to do this just for fun.

We had some absolutely gorgeous light and it went so well with the mood of the day. Fun, sweet, lots of love and lots of laugh, and maybe a little poison ivy too, but this was so worth it.:)

When Lane sent me her first email, I fell in love with this couple. Everything she told me about their wedding and her vision for it and everything she told me about her and Taylor was just perfect! She really had me when she used these words to describe Taylor: “He has a slow, Southern drawl that becomes even more pronounced after a few cocktails.” I DIED!! Could these people BE any more perfect for me and what I love to shoot! (Yes, I have a soft spot for Southerners and their relaxed, laid back attitudes and approach to weddings).

For this session, we started in downtown Plano and then we rode together to Cedar Hill State Park to pay tribute to Taylor’s rustic roots. The drive down and back was seriously the best part of the day! Taylor is freakin hilarious and Lane handles his jokes quite well. 😉 I had so much fun and laughed so hard the whole time!
